It’s been a bit more than a year since I finished my last (and only), great adventure by bicycle. In this one, I crossed Europe, from the northernmost to the southernmost without the help of any other transport but my bike. It took me 2 months and a half, and I wrote everything that happened in my blog: bicycloud.blogspot.com
By the time I finished the trip, I was quite tired, not only physically, but also of the blog: half of the nights I fell asleep writing posts. After 2 weeks I had recovered a bit, and I started taking the bike again, and since then it has been my usual mean of transport (I barely remember how to drive). To recover from the blog-tiredness it took quite much longer, but here I am again.
Anyway, soon I will start a new adventure. Actually, soon I will start cycling in a new adventure, because with the planning and the presentation of this blog, I consider that it has already begun. This trip will be a bit longer than the last, crossing only one continent seems too short now, this time I will go around the world!
I won’t be traveling alone, in fact, the idea of traveling around was not even mine, even though it didn’t take me too long to get convinced. The original idea was to travel till India from Getxo (my home town), and when I told this to a friend of mine, Jorge, he joined almost immediately. Later on Goiznabar also wanted to join, but he already warned us that he was not going to stop in Asia, once there, he was going to continue cycling.
Since then a few months have passed and he had several meetings, some more productive than others, but we already have some basis. There are 2 things we know for sure:
We are going to share the trip and our experiences (blog, documentary, twitter, …)
We will need help (anyone willing to help us with the planning and finding sponsors?)
For now this is all we have, but slowly, as soon as we start deciding more things, we will write it here.
So here it goes a new blog-adventure, I hope you enjoy our happenings at the same time we do, and if you want to take part, you know how: comments and more comments!
